More than ten-years ago, the\u00a0son of\u00a0one of the\u00a0suspects now charged with the Cleveland abductions, ARIEL ANTHONY CASTRO, coincidently, did a story\u00a0concerning GEORGINA DeJESUS being missing.\u00a0 A student journalist writing for the Ohio PLAIN PRESS, speaking about her disappearance, he said neighbors could be seen throughout the community posting her photograph trying to find her.\u00a0 And interviewing her mother, he\u00a0described NANCY RUIZ\u00a0as hopeful someone might find\u00a0her commenting friends everywhere were looking.<\/p>\n
But that’s “not” the only disturbing\u00a0coincidence–further complicating the investigation–another sibling ARLENE CASTRO said she was the last person to see\u00a0DeJESUS before\u00a0she disappeared.\u00a0 Walking home from middle school,\u00a0CASTRO said the two girls telephoned her mother–asking whether she could do a sleepover.\u00a0 Told she could not\u00a0spend the night, she said the two girls parted company and that was the last time she or anyone else saw DeJESUS.\u00a0\u00a0She said\u00a0she used her friend’s bus money just so she could make the telephone call.\u00a0 But despite being the last person to see her,\u00a0CASTRO said she had no idea her father was responsible\u00a0for\u00a0her friend’s abduction.\u00a0\u00a0Not\u00a0having enough bus money–walking home alone–police think GEORGINA\u00a0probably accepted a ride from CASTRO’s father thinking\u00a0she was safe.<\/p>\n
Unlike JACEE LEE DUGARD who was kidnaped in South Lake Tahoe and went missing for 18-years,\u00a0police didn’t have witnesses\u00a0suggesting GEORGINA, age-23,\u00a0was kidnapped.\u00a0 Nor did they have any reports\u00a0suggesting MICHELLE KNIGHT, age-31, and AMANDA BERRY, age-27,\u00a0were abducted, but the cases are strikingly similar.\u00a0 Following their abduction, the Cleveland women were bound with chains, tortured and sexually abused, with\u00a0one\u00a0account suggesting\u00a0at least one woman\u00a0was\u00a0impregnated–AMANDA BERRY–who gave birth to a girl, now 6-years old,\u00a0with other reports\u00a0suggesting others were\u00a0born as well.<\/p>\n
Neighbors\u00a0said they ate barbeque with ARIEL CASTRO, age-52, now charged with\u00a0the crimes.\u00a0\u00a0While the women were being held captive in the house, they said on occasion he could be seen fixing\u00a0his motorcycle in the backyard.\u00a0 Being held also for\u00a0questioning\u00a0are ARIEL’s brothers–PEDRO, age-54, and ONEIL, age-50.\u00a0\u00a0News reports didn’t state whether the brothers lived together, but their connection to\u00a0the crimes\u00a0must have been obvious or at least probable since all three individuals\u00a0were arrested.<\/p>\n
Looking at the DUGARD case, both school children and her stepdad saw the kidnaping, but with the Cleveland abductions\u00a0authorities didn’t have any witnesses.\u00a0 When MICHELLE KNIGHT disappeared, police reports said she was 20-years\u00a0old.\u00a0 Family members thought she simply left home having\u00a0lost a custody dispute involving her son.\u00a0 They thought she was angry about the loss of her child so she just left home indicating family members\u00a0were not sure what happened.<\/p>\n
With AMANDA BERRY police thought she was a runaway despite regularly attending school and having good grades.\u00a0 One day shy of\u00a0her 17-birthday,\u00a0police said she was last seen at\u00a0the local Burger King where she worked.\u00a0 Finding her uniform, investigators thought she made it home.\u00a0 But aside from her disappearance,\u00a0police had no evidence suggesting foul play.\u00a0 Cops said her mother reported\u00a0she was contacted by someone using her daughter’s cell phone stating she had been married and would return soon, but the caller never called again and she\u00a0didn’t return.\u00a0 BERRY’s mother was hopeful\u00a0AMANDA might be found someday, but in 2006, sadly she died–suffering a heart attack–never knowing whether her daughter was either alive or dead.<\/p>\n
Despite a $25,000 reward and pleas\u00a0for their return–periodically seen broadcast\u00a0on AMERICA’s MOST WANTED–the\u00a0girls\u00a0remained missing until yesterday, when a neighbor\u00a0heard BERRY’s\u00a0screams for help–kicking in a door and freeing the women.\u00a0 Because of the strange circumstances surrounding the abductions and the peculiar information that has come\u00a0forth concerning the CASTRO children, police need to ask\u00a0themselves what family members knew and\/or suspected while conducting\u00a0the investigation, otherwise the public will never be satisfied the cops got the right answers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
