Told law enforcement officials made “significant” gains journalists everywhere sought to learn crucial details … and the drumroll began. \u00a0CNN reported one official said agents discovered an important video commenting\u00a0police had an image–a “good image.”<\/p>\n

And Bostonians waited.<\/p>\n

Reporters said investigators had a person of interest and some were “privy” to\u00a0a photograph, but inexplicably Bostonians\u00a0were left dangling–no one let them see the photograph.\u00a0 Then a news flash … an arrest had been made … and authorities were scheduling a press conference.<\/p>\n

At the news briefing everyone\u00a0thought authorities would disclose important details concerning the arrest. \u00a0And Bostonians everywhere thought they’d learn the bomber’s identity, but the briefing and the arrest had nothing to do with each other. Realizing\u00a0officials had created a\u00a0problem, the FBI and\u00a0the Justice Department\u00a0denied\u00a0authorities had arrested anyone, but the damage\u00a0was done–people everywhere expected information.<\/p>\n

Asking about the person of interest, journalists learned authorities had in fact two images–both persons’ of interest.\u00a0 But instead of releasing\u00a0photographs,\u00a0law enforcement\u00a0officials canceled\u00a0their briefing–providing “no” details–leaving Bostonians “gulping” for information.\u00a0 Everyone had expected to see the photographs.<\/p>\n

And why not release the photographs.\u00a0Minus trying to bring criminal charges,\u00a0make an arrest or execute search warrants–all requiring operational secrecy–authorities should\u00a0understand Bostonians can identify the suspects, but they need the photographs to help.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
